Strategic Planning is a process that brings a non profit organization's board, staff and community together to confirm a common mission and vision and get agreement on the organization's strategic direction and areas of focus for the coming years. By promoting unity of purpose and alignment of everyone's energy and resources, planning improves organizational effectiveness and impact.
This workshop:
- Provided an overview of the strategic planning process,
- Introduced tools to use to map stakeholders, gather community input, prioritize among worthy goals, format your plan for internal and external audiences, and
- Identified measurable outcomes to monitor your progress.
Participants left with an understanding of the value of planning, a good sense of how to design an appropriate process for their organization, and the resources to support the work.
